MYO Naja Contest Entry

spotted this contest before i left for college and decided to try and participate ;w;

yeah i know i love this color palette too much~
their markings were inspired by the design on a can of Monster i had the other day

Alright so first basic info~:

Occupation: Healer (in-training)
Tribe: The Tribe of Ebony

Personality: a shy but happy naja, who loves being immersed in nature, she doesn't like crowds but also prefers not to be alone.

Likes: nature, animals, friendly people/intelligent creatures, fruit, helping others
dislikes: deserts, burned areas, bad tasting food, mean people, those who hurt others intentionally

Backstory:
Mora was born into the tribe of ebony but due to an accident was left an orphan. She was raised collectively by the tribe and thus has a deep love for her tribe and homeland. It didnt take long for her to get curious about the land beyond the tribe. She felt a deep urge to go and explore, the urge to create, the urge to spread life. Late one night she snuck out of the village and she wandered farther and farther through the thick forests. A small mouse darted past her and caught in the excitement she gave chase. She ran and ran till finally she lost track of the little creature but by this point when Mora looked around, she had no idea where she was. As she tried to make her way back to her home Mora accidentally wandered into a very rocky clearing. The soil between the rocks was unbearably dry and there was no life inhabiting the little clearing. Mora walked into the middle of the clearing and sat down staring at the soil beneath her feet. She could sense that there was seeds buried deep beneath the rocks. Too deep for natural growth to occur but close enough for a little magical assistance. As Mora concentrated on growing her plants one of the citizens from her village who was out on a late night stroll happened upon her and stopped to watch. A tiny sapling was slowly pushing its way up through the rocks, Mora stepped back and decided that she would make this sapling grow as big and strong as she possibly could.  She paced around it as the sapling grew. Thicker and thicker, taller and taller till a massive tree stood regally before them. Mora continued to pace around the tree, admiring her work until she spotted a gash along its trunk. During the process of its growth the tree had pulled many stones up out of the soil, one of them had apparently managed to gouge the trunk along the way. Mora stood up on her hind legs and reached up to tough the edge of the scar. With deep sadness in her heart she began to think about how she wished she could help the tree. Mora closed her eyes and imagined the fibers of the wood and bark meshing back together, healing the injury. When she opened her eyes she was surprised to see that the gash was gone. Confused she dropped back on to all fours and stared at where the gash had been. The villager who had been watching now approached and after greetings were exchanged he encouraged Mora to train as a healer in the village. As the villager guided her back to the village Mora began to think about how it would be nice to help both plants and animals, and how being a healer would be perfect.
